INKY: This seal black gal was found tied to a
street sign with an untreated case of demodectic
mange and signs of being repeatedly bred from
a young age. Inky is ready to take her
AKC
Canine Good Citizen test
and can easily qualify
as a certified Therapy Dog. She loves people of
all ages and keeps her cool in any situation. Inky
sleeps when it's quiet but is ready to play when
you are. She walks well on a leash, respects
your commands, doesn't dash out the door, sits
to be pet and is a perfect example of her breed.
She also loves traveling, swimming and
camping and quietly stays in hotel rooms. Inky
is housebroken, crate trained and has no
medical issues. She loves to walk and is on her
best behavior after walking, though she also
enjoys fetching toys in the backyard or down
the hallway. She loves bully sticks and raw beef
bones and has no food guarding issues.
Inky will do best in a home with teens or older
kids as she gets enthusiastic during play and
needs to be reminded of her boundaries. She is
dominant towards other females but fine while
leashed for a short greeting, so any dog pals
must be males. Her moderate prey drive has her
focusing on squirrels, cats and even lizards so a
home without prey sized animals is best. She
will grab inappropriate items such as shoes,
couch arms, etc when playing hard or feeling
rascally, so she would fall under a "destructive
chewer" status if left unattended. Of course, if
she is crated and items are removed from the
floor, this is no big deal.
Her positives far outweigh her negatives an
she's always up for an adventure! Come meet
this gal today.
